We have lots of exciting things happening at Patford House Partnership.  Keep up to date with the latest patient news and updates here.

You and Your General Practice

From the 1st October, new NHS rules mean GP Practices must make it easier for patients to access care.  At Patford House Partnership, we have updated the way we work to meet these standards.

  • Our phone lines remain open during core hours (8.00 am - 6.30 pm Monday - Friday)
  • Our online request service, Patchs AI, is available during these hours for non-urgent medical or administrative queries.
  • To make sure all enquiries are handled promptly. we have removed the option to message individual staff via Systm Online and Airmid apps.  All messages now get triaged by our Patient Experience Team who will respond to acknowledge your enquiry within 1 working day.
  • Our surgeries have slightly different opening patterns, but patients can always access at least one of our GP Surgeries (Patford House Surgery, Sutton Benger Surgery or Beversbrook Medical Centre) during our core opening hours.

New Patients Can Now Register Online

We are welcoming new patients and have now made it even easier to register as a patient with Patford House Partnership using our online registration service.

Patients who are registering online no longer need to bring in two forms of ID as part of the registration process and the form is simple and easy to follow.  NHS Digital have made this available to any patient wishing to register with our surgeries who have also signed up for the NHS App, making registration for new patients simple and quick.

Paper copies of the form are still available and of course our happy and friendly Reception staff are available to help new patients with the registration process.  Patients who do not wish to register online will still be required to bring in to Practice two forms of ID.

PHP Rated Good by CQC

Our CQC inspection report is now available to view.  Patford House Partnership was given the news after CQC inspectors visited its three practice sites earlier this year.

While at Beversbrook Medical Centre, Sutton Benger Surgery and Patford House Surgery, the inspection team spoke with practice staff, observed day-to-day activity and reviewed patient records.

They found that significant improvements had been made over the last 12 months and saw first-hand that staff were now working in ways that kept patients safe and protected from avoidable harm.

As such, inspectors agreed to overturn the previous rating of inadequate, which had been given following a visit in May 2021.

Patford House Partnership now has an overall rating of Good, and has been credited with providing its patients with good care that is not only safe, but also effective and well-led.

However, inspectors did find some areas still in need of further work, and these will be addressed as part of the practices’ ongoing improvement journey.

Dr Andrew Girdher, CCG Clinical Chair, said: “Patford House Surgery has made a number of positive changes in recent months, all of which have helped the practice to improve on its previous CQC rating.

“We’re in regular contact with the team and are fully aware that while today’s announcement is good news, some areas still need addressing, which is why we will continue to provide support where it’s needed, as well as offer helpful challenges, so that we can be absolutely sure that patients are receiving the best possible service.”
